HEXAGRAM 5 OF 64 WATER OVER HEAVEN

WAITING

需 Xū

waiting, patience, nourishment while you wait, confidence, the right moment

ROASTIE

Waiting. Water over Heaven, clouds that haven't rained yet. The book says eat, drink, be cheerful, the moment comes. You have turned waiting into a lifestyle. You're not being patient, honey, you're being furniture, and the moment came twice and left because you were on your phone. Ya roasted!

THE JUDGMENT

With sincerity comes bright success; staying firm brings good fortune. It is a good time to cross the great river.

THE LINES, BOTTOM TO TOP

  1. Line 1 Waiting out in the open country; stay steady and constant, and there is no mistake.
  2. Line 2 Waiting on the sand; there is some gossip against you, but it ends in good fortune.
  3. Line 3 Waiting in the mud; this invites the enemy to arrive.
  4. Line 4 Waiting in a place of blood; the only move is to climb out of the pit.
  5. Line 5 Waiting with food and wine at hand; stay firm and correct, and there is good fortune.
  6. Line 6 Falls into the pit; three uninvited guests arrive. Treat them with respect, and it ends in good fortune.
